We’ve heard your squeals – Bacon Bash returns to the Esplanade Park on Saturday, October 8th. The goal of this event is to bring together residents, businesses and visitors for a bacon-filled afternoon while raising funds for two local charities; Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale and Covenant House Florida. On this day, bacon lovers of all ages, Riverwalk and Covenant House Florida supporters and passersby who attend can purchase bacon and porky bites from some of South Florida’s favorite eateries and vote one the winners of the trophies for the “Best Bacon Dish” and the “Most Creative Use of Bacon.”

This year, there will be a third award given- the “Chef’s Choice Award.” Our panel of previous Bacon Bash winners and a celebrity judge will be tasked with trying all of the bacon dishes and picking their favorite.

Treat yourself to some adult time (21+ONLY) in the VIP, sponsored by Orchard Supply Hardware. For a $30 prepaid donation ($35 day of the event) VIP guests will be able to sample 10 beverages while enjoying bacony bites in the VIP area. There will also be a cash bar available outside the VIP area with a limited selection of beverages for purchase.  Attendees will also enjoy entertainment and fun activities for all ages throughout the day.

This FREE event is open to all ages and well-behaved pets too (on leash). Feel free to bring along your lawn chairs to enjoy this afternoon of BACON, fun activities and great music.
