The Race to Help Homeless Youth

On Sunday, February 23, 2020, the Young Professionals for Covenant House will host the 10th Anniversary “Covenant House Florida 5K on A1A!” Planning is well underway to make this year’s race the biggest and best yet. After all, ten years running “The Race to Help Youth Experiencing Homelessness” is certainly worth celebrating! As we set out to unite our community around the mission of Covenant House Florida, we hope you will consider partnering with us in making an impact in the lives of those changed through the work at Covenant House!

About the 5K on A1A

The 5K on A1A is the Young Professionals for Covenant House’s (YPFCH) signature event to raise funds for the care and services offered by Covenant House Florida. The fun and family- friendly 5K run/walk begins and ends near the World Famous Parrot Lounge. The route passes by Covenant House Florida and the race features an energetic pre-race warm up, swag bags, and vendor booths.  All proceeds from the event benefit our local Covenant House Florida, enriching and forever changing the lives of youth right here in Fort Lauderdale.

10/10 Team Challenge – New This Year!

As we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the race, we anticipate more than 1,000 individuals to advocate, run, or walk along Fort Lauderdale Beach! New this year is the “10/10 Team Challenge” - teams of 10 individuals, with each team committing to raise at least $1,000 per team. This new approach, coupled with individual runners, walkers, and generous sponsors, will help us increase engagement and funds raised to support the mission at Covenant House Florida!
